Nonna's Chicago Bistro
This place is my new favorite restaurant. Finally found good Italian food! The owner greeted us at the door with a friendly hand shake and sat us at a cute little table by the bar. He introduced himself and shared friendly conversation. The food is delicious and fresh quality! All of the employees were very nice and professional. We will be Coming up back again and again ! Thank you!
I absolutely love this place! Been here quite a few times now. My wife and I enjoy having date nights here.
The marinara sauce is quite good. But their lasagna is fantastic. In the fall, they have one of the best pumpkin cheesecakes I have ever tasted. This last time I tried the short ribs for an appetizer. We loved them!.
The location looks somewhat shady from outside. The overflow parking is behind the building. But once you walk inside, you'll love the cozy feeling of this family restaurant.
Of the weekends they have live music as well, which sets the mood quite nicely!
If you're in the area and in the mood for Italian food, you should give this place a shot!
If you haven't eaten here, I pity you.
Probably the best Italian fare in Denver.
Top orders are lasagna, madd pasta, and whatever's on the seasonal menu. Order creme brûlée and wash it all down with an Italian soda.
Every time we go she orders the lasagna. And then I end up eating her next day left overs. Risotto's real yummy too.
Oh by the way! All the servers are incredibly hospitable. And they know the menu inside n out. The chefs and some of the servers have been there for more than 15yrs.
Live music on Friday nights are dope af too.
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! Located in a small strip shopping center at Monaco/Leetsdale, Nonna's Chicago Bistro is a true sleeper. This small Italian restaurant serves top notch Italian cuisine that will impress even the most knowledgeable foodies. The layering of flavors is a true skill, and this chef has mastered the art.
The atmosphere has a charming throwback "Sopranos vibe"...bottles of wine are Half Price in Wednesday's... and they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. What's not to love?!
We have lived in this area for 15 years, and last night was the first time we tried Nonna's. We're total morons for not trying it sooner. We were coming back from the vet and trying to figure out what we wanted to eat for dinner because my man "forgot" to get something out to cook (it was his turn that night). We happened to be driving by Nonna's, and I suggested we give them a try. We ordered some pizza to-go. We brought it back to our house, and it smelled amazing. When we opened it up, we discovered it was a thin crust pizza, cooked perfectly. It was some of the best pizza I've had in Denver. I would've taken pictures to post, but we were too hungry after smelling it. Nom. Nom. Nom. We'll try eating in next time.
Sorry we're such idiots, Nonna's! We've learned our lesson and will be back.
